About the Program

The Intellectual Property (IP) Training Programme, organized by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), this program strengthens the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across diverse sectors. It focuses on enhancing intellectual property (IP) awareness, improving the protection of innovations, and enabling SMEs to leverage new business opportunities in both local and international markets.

The program's main areas of focus include:

  • Leveraging intellectual property (IP) to drive business growth
  • Protecting IP rights in both local and international markets
  • Strategic use of IP to enhance competitiveness
  • Brand development and value enhancement
  • IP in software and licensing (selected case studies)

The E-Commerce Acceleration Programme (eCAP) is an ongoing initiative implemented by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), with the support of the ICC–ESCWA Centre of Entrepreneurship. The programme supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Arab region in transitioning to online selling by strengthening their digital and e-commerce capabilities.

The Digital Social Innovation (DSI) Lab is a transformative initiative designed to address pressing socio-economic and environmental challenges in the Arab region through inclusive, tech-enabled innovation. Implemented by Creativity Lab and Tagheer in partnership with ESCWA, the Lab empowers youth, civil society, entrepreneurs, and public sector actors to co-create scalable, technology-driven solution

The mission of the Digital Social Innovation Lab is to to strengthen the capacity of youth, civil society, entrepreneurs, and public actors in the Arab region to co-create inclusive, tech-driven solutions addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges such as food security, water scarcity, renewable energy, and climate resilience.
